    HKScan participating in an export promotion project - EU support for export promotion of pork and poultry meat in China

    The European Union has granted Finland with almost EUR 3 million in funding to promote the export of pork and poultry meat in the Chinese market. The project will be carried out together with the funding applicant Ruokatieto Yhdistys ry and two of its’ member companies, HKScan and Atria, which both currently export pork to China.

    HKScan and Apetit have signed an agreement to sell Apetit products in the Swedish food service channel. HKScan will act as a distributor of Apetit’s plant-based value-added products in the food service channel from the beginning of February 2021.

  4. Packaging targets 2025
    HKScan will make all its packaging recyclable and reduce millions of kilos of plastic

    HKScan will renew its packaging to be even more responsible: all packaging will be recyclable by the end of 2025 at the latest. At the same time, the company will reduce the carbon footprint of packaging by 20 per cent and decrease the amount of packaging plastic by 20 per cent compared to 2019. In total, the use of plastic will be reduced by millions of kilos.
