HKScan planning to streamline the operating model for Group functions in Finland
HKScan is planning to streamline and further clarify the operating model for Group functions in Finland. The plan includes changes to the operating model and Group organisation, including possible adjustments to staffing levels. Through the change in the operating model, HKScan is seeking to reduce its annual costs by around EUR 3 million. The savings are expected to be achieved after the first quarter of 2023.

Via Kasvimaa: Ready-to-cook vegetables
New ready-to-cook Via Kasvimaa fresh vegetables and root vegetables make everyday cooking easier and faster. The products feature peeled and cut vegetables, packed to create interesting ready mixes with quality fresh and dry spices. Via Kasvimaa products are launched in Finland by Kasviskonttori Oy, a joint venture founded by HKScan and Vihannes-Laitila in April 2022.

Development investment for improving competitiveness and cost efficiency to be implemented at HKScan's Forssa unit in Finland
The statutory change negotiations have been concluded with an agreement between the parties. HKScan will carry out an investment of more than EUR 5 million in the meat packing and shipping departments in Forssa to improve the unit’s cost efficiency and competitiveness. The significant investment will also strengthen the continuity of HKScan’s operations in Forssa.
