Lars Appelqvist (46) has joined HKScan in the role as EVP for Business Unit Sweden and member of the Group Executive Team. He comes from the company Löfbergs and the position as CEO.
Lars Appelqvist has since 1998 held various positions at Löfbergs and served as CEO for the past 12 years. He is also the Chairman of the Board of the Swedish Food Federation since 2016 and a Member of the board of Food Drink Europe since February 2020.
“I’m starting with great interest to further develop HKScan’s business in Sweden with focus on core business and to start implement the Group’s strategy to become a versatile food company. Scan is a strong and iconic brand in Sweden. I believe that a strong market potential is linked with the entire Swedish business. I look forward to develop operations in a strong value chain from farms to consumers’ food moments together with a great team,” says Lars Appelqvist.
